Diego is an architectural designer, researcher and fabricator currently pursuing a Master of Architecture degree with a concentration in Integrated Product Design from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Vassar College and has 5 years of previous professional experience working with people-centered , design oriented organizations including Interboro Partners Architecture, Colloqate Design, and the Philadelphia City Planning Commission.
Diego has a passion for using design and technology to tell stories. His interests lie at the intersection of where and how people engage with the digital and physical world. As a researcher, Diego’s undergraduate work focused on developing a tool for understanding the housing construction and consolidation process of informal settlements in Lima, Peru. More recently as a research assistant at Penn, Diego has focused on furthering the efforts of housing justice in Philadelphia and is involved in two projects with the West Philadelphia Peace park and the Save Chinatown Coalition.
