In this 24-hour hackathon-style competition sponsored by luxury brand MCM Worldwide, judges presented retail challenges for which teams had to develop polished solutions by morning. In response to a declining customer base and a misperception of values, our team developed a pop-up style AR experience that leveraged mobility and upcycling to create new sustainable ways for MCM to increase brand loyalty and exposure.

MOBILITY AS SUSTAINABILITY

We designed an interactive pneumatic landscape that would traverse urban environment with two objectives. 1) to serve as a temporary location where returning MCM customers could go to to upcycle their MCM leather products into luggage tags and key chains, and 2) to serve as the backdrop for an interactive Pokémon-Go-style AR game that allows new and returning customers to gain exclusive purchase deals and collectable digital tokens
